Keystone announces acquisition of Shore Sign Service, Inc.

Philadelphia, PA — Keystone Outdoor Advertising Company, Inc. is excited to announce the acquisition of Atlantic City billboard plant, Shore Sign Service, Inc. “This acquisition is an exciting entry point for us into the Atlantic City market. We cannot wait to see what the Jersey shore holds for Keystone and its advertisers!,” said Dominick A. Cipollini, President of Keystone Outdoor.

Keystone currently has ninety-four static bulletins and twenty-four digital bulletins throughout PA and NJ, but these new static bulletins will expand Keystone’s footprint, allowing them to reach new clients. The forty-seven new static billboard faces will put their current clients in new prime locations like the busy Atlantic City Expressway, the highly traveled Margate Causeway, White Horse Pike, and Black Horse Pike.

Shore Sign Service, Inc., founded by the Diefenbeck Family in 1923, was taken control of in 1997 by Michael F. Connell. Mr. Connell owns Connell Outdoor Advertising Company, an independent OOH company operating in Las Vegas, NV. Connell’s original NJ billboard locations could be found in various Atlantic County municipalities along Route 30 (the White Horse Pike). The company later expanded to larger bulletins along the Atlantic City Expressway during the 1980’s and 90’s.  Michael Connell shared “I was born in Somers Point, New Jersey, so what a thrill it’s been to own and operate Shore Sign Service all these years.  It’s been a great ride, and now we’re excited to pass the torch to Keystone Outdoor Advertising, who we know will do a great job and continue to bring a quality product to Atlantic City.”

The acquisition comes at a peak time for Keystone Outdoor as their client needs are continuously changing and one of the company’s main goals is to continue to grow their plant with some of the most sought-after billboard locations. Joseph A. Felici, Vice President of Keystone said, “We’ve listened to our clients and sought out their desired geography and we will continue to do so.” Felici also stated, “We cannot wait to add these new static bulletins to our plant.”

“The partnership between Shore and Keystone was a natural one. We are lucky to be able to have made this work for both parties.,” said Cipollini. Keystone is excited to continue to grow and cannot wait to share what is next for them.

Proudly serving the City of Brotherly Love and beyond for over 45 years, Keystone Outdoor is the Philadelphia DMA’s largest independent OOH company offering premier static, digital bulletins and transit advertising covering the most in-demand roadways, inner city neighborhoods and suburbs.
